Yellow teeth?

I have yellow teeth. Not really really yellow but, yellow enough to notice. I brush and go to the dentist. But, I don%26#039;t know what to do. I have tried several different teeth whitening things. Help me.

Yellow teeth?
Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and

are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken.I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/ep7yg
Reply:get surgery then
Reply:STOP SMOKING AND DRINKING COFFEE AND DARK SODA!
Reply:do you smoke?

also certain medications can cause yellow teeth.

what has your dentist said about it?
Reply:Whitening strips and toothpaste is misleading. It gets rid of you stains, not really whitening anything.

Go to the doctor and get a professional bleaching. You%26#039;ll be happier in the end.
Reply:you could get them bleached
Reply:STOP SMOKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THATS NASTY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:crest whitening strips
Reply:the best route is to have your dentist whiten your teeth. The over the counter whiteners are terrible and frustrating.
Reply:tell your dentist you want your teeth whitened, alot of over the counter stuff will do damage to them.
Reply:The light yellow stain that covers your teeth is caused by a number of things. Depending on the strength of your teeth and the enamel (the covering over the teeth), you can be more sensitive to staining. Things that you eat and drink like coffee, or tea products, soda and some heavily dyed foods like juices can cause staining. Smoking is also very bad for your teeth; it stains them with tar and also causes decay. Your teeth also naturally develop what is known as Plaque. It is a sticky, colorless deposit of bacteria that is constantly forming on teeth. Saliva, food and fluids combine to produce these deposits that collect on teeth and where teeth and gums meet. Plaque is not removed by brushing alone and can harden to form tartar (also called calculus). Tartar is a crusty like deposit that is sticky and forms bonds with the teeth and also other discolorants. A dentist can only remove this tartar. Tartar formation may also make it more difficult for you to remove new plaque and bacteria. You can help reduce the formation of Tartar by:

Brushing with ADA-accepted tartar-control toothpaste.

Having your teeth cleaned professionally at least every six months by a dentist.

Individuals vary greatly in their plaque and tartar development. For many of us, these deposits build up faster as we age. Fighting tartar is a life-long part of caring for our teeth. Keep brushing properly and the problem should be kept under control.

However, if your teeth are already stained and the whitening toothpaste is not helping, you may want to seek out other options. There is bleaching methods that can be done at home or by a dentist. They can be very expensive. There are also some new whitening systems that you can buy over the counter. TeenHealthFX suggests that you consult your dentist first, as to which ones are most beneficial before using one. They may cause damage to your teeth if they are not used properly. Your dentist will also be able to help you take care of any tartar problems you may be experiencing and look at your teeth to determine where the staining is coming from. By taking care of your teeth now, they will stick with you for many happy years to come!
Reply:talk to your dentist and see what he says you should do, chances are he will do the whitening which really works. it%26#039;s kind of expensive but it works.
Reply:Fluoride in the water supply can make your teeth a bit yellow - and also much more resistant to decay. Enjoy it. You%26#039;ll be glad of it later in life.
Reply:Some people have yellow teeth from the use of tetracycline when young and this is normal in that it isn%26#039;t bad for the teeth. I heard it even makes them stronger. you can try using a little peroxide in salt and baking soda to brush with but, I doubt that will make them whiter. Maybe when you are older you can get velours put on them but, as long as they are clean don%26#039;t worry. Please. You are beautiful.
Reply:There are about 35 natural colors on the dental ring and not everybody is suppose to have stark white teeth. If your teeth are down from #1 on the ring naturally, maybe that is the way they are suppose to be. If you just can%26#039;t live with your natural attributes, you can have your teeth bleached.
Reply:The fastest, easiest method is power bleaching by a dental professional. This is sometimes called laser bleaching. There are no lasers involved. The tool is a light lamp, which activates the bleaching agent. The concentration is 25 to 35 percent, which is considerably higher than the home methods.

You get instant results in one visit. And it is pricey, ranging from $500 to $1,200.

When I had my own teeth whitened, I choose the custom tray(to fit my teeth only) made by my dentist. I still have it, and when I need a touch-up, I can easily and less expensively do another couple of bleaching sessions.
Reply:Quit smoking and quit wasting your money on %26quot;whitening things%26quot;.
Reply:Your best thing is to have your Dentist take care of them. I%26#039;m not

sure how much they charge at your place, but at my dentist, just

for the upper set was $250. and additional for the bottom $250

which is really good cause they come out really white if you take

care of them. I%26#039;m telling you it%26#039;s worth the money. My sister was

a Dental Assistant now and Office Manager had hers done and it

is super white. I started my, but when I had to get a cap on my

tooth I stop because of the fact you can%26#039;t bleach the caps. The

rest of the tooth will get white except that one tooth and it wouldn%26#039;t look good, do you know what I mean? But for my sister

hers is very white. She works in West Wood, L.A., CA.. It differs

from city to city so ask your dentist about the price, cause I too

live in a different city. Like 4 hours away from where she lives.

So call and just ask the Receptionist, she has to know the info.
Reply:Does the dentist not have any solutions?
Reply:Try as hard as you can to cut down on sugar. Chew sugar-free gum! Try to brush 3 times a day, floss, mouth wash. Ask your dentist for his reccomended treatment.
Reply:Your dentist seems to have no problems with yellow. Whiteners can make teeth sensitive and harm the enamel. Discuss it with your dentist. Too white looks too unnatural.
Reply:As we get older, teeth have a natural progression to go yellower.

Cosmetic dentistry is now more popular than ever.

Bleaching your teeth is very safe to do, but there are different ways to getting a %26quot;whiter%26quot; smile.

Your teeth will only whiten to their inherit colour and any fillings that are present will not change due to the material they are made from.

You can purchase the %26quot;paint on%26quot; from the supermarket but this doesn%26#039;t stay on your teeth long enough and I find that it%26#039;s a waste. This can be quite cheap, about $20.

The other option is to see your dentist and ask for %26quot;zoom%26quot; or laser bleaching. This is very expensive and could cost well over $1200. This takes about 1 hour in office and can make your teeth very very sensitive (I mean for days and days).

The best option I would suggest, is a home bleaching kit. Trays are made from moulds that are taken of your mouth and then a small amount of slow releasing peroxide paste is placed in the trays and inserted into your mouth. This process takes about 1 hour and is done everyday for up to 10 days.

The good thing about this is that is costs aout $300 and you will always have the trays. You can purchase %26quot;top up%26quot; bleaching syringes if you notice that the shade has dropped back again or if you have a special occasion.

This is how I bleach my teeth and it works but remember not to eat or drink anything for a couple of hours otherwise you are just chasing your tail. Avoid red wine, tea/coffe, tobacco and spicy foods as these will stain your teeth whilst bleaching.

Happy New Year!
