Yellow teeth?

I brush twice a day, I%26#039;m 23 y/o, and I still have yellow teeth. I haven%26#039;t been to the dentist in like 9 years though. Because I had this surgery for my heart where they filled up a hole in there using a metal disk or something and they said I have to take certain meds before I go to the dentist now or I can have a reaction.

Yellow teeth look sooo bad...I%26#039;m self conscious about it too. Are your teeth yellow?

Yellow teeth?
No. My teeth have never been yellow. Have you tried the numerous products out there for whitening your teeth.. or visit your dentist to have it done?
Reply:Try some whitestrips or listerine. My teeth are fine.
Reply:ya
Reply:Brush with a whitening tooth paste.
Reply:no , if you go to the dentist they can whiten them. Or you can get things for the pharmacy to whiten them such as crest whitening strips
Reply:no, but use whitening strips or something
Reply:No, but maybe you should try crest white stips or something...if those dont work save up to get a dentist whiten them.
Reply:No, but I get mine bleached. You should look into that if you%26#039;re self-conscious
Reply:try the whitestrips

Reply:Yeah but i just started burshing my teeth and have you ever smoked?
Reply:not really. try to go back to the doctor %26amp; ask if you can go to the dentist now.
Reply:youll have to go to the dentist

people have different teeth that darken or brighten

in this case youd have to see a dentist
Reply:Not pure yellow, but they%26#039;re not white either. My teeth stain really easily and I drink a lot of coffee...try teeth whitening strips :]
Reply:When you have a heart condition they will give you amoxicillin 30 minutes before your appointment.
Reply:No, my teeth are not yellow. If I were you I would go to the drugstore and by those whiteining strips to put on your teeth. Do go to the dentist though.
Reply:have your teeth cleaned its crucial to your health to have regular check ups also even if you do have to take meds
Reply:Perhaps you could use a whitening toothpaste?

What exactly do you eat?
Reply:no, my teeth aren%26#039;t yellow, if you%26#039;re so concerned go to the dentist, and do whatever the doctors told you.
Reply:in todays technology, they have stuff to help you protect your heart. heck, just from bad gums they can tell you if you have a bad heart. dont make excuse. go to the dentist. and do what the doctors tell you. try white stripes from crest. or if you go to a dentist, they have take home self whiting kits. they are expensive though.
Reply:You know there are possibilities for it..

Why don%26#039;t you get your teeth whitened?

If you%26#039;re self conscious about it

Go to your orthodontist/denist and ask about it.

=]
Reply:Try using whitening listerine just make sure and follow directions and use a toothpaste gel with whitening agent in it.
Reply:Brad,

Try those new dental whitening strips...they%26#039;re available in most pharmacy / drug stores/ grocery stores;

OR;

Pearl Drops toothpaste

OR;

You could go get a total cleaning from a dentist.

You%26#039;ll soon be smiling again!
Reply:Brush for longer periods of time. Twice a day isn%26#039;t enough. I use colgate whitening with baking soda and peroxide. I brush when I wake up; after I finish eating, and before I go to bed. I brush, floss, then brush again. I also use a good antiseptic mouthwash. My teeth are usually yellow, but they get really white if I follow what I just told you.
Reply:my teeth are just fine.

try using a whitner, there cheap20-30 bucks

i%26#039;d recommend crest daily renewal

the listenrine strips taste even worse and they dont disolve as they say

and i havent tried the aqua fresh white trays yet.

use those with a whiting tooth paste or one that helps build up your enamel, and listering tooth defense[the purple one]
Reply:Crest White Strips work really good but they don%26#039;t clean plaque between your teeth and gums. Make an appointment with your cardiologist and then with your denist.

The new antibiotic guidelines are aimed at patients who would have the greatest danger of a bad outcome if they developed a heart infection.

Preventive antibiotics prior to a dental procedure are advised for patients with:

1. artificial heart valves

2. a history of infective endocarditis

3. certain specific, serious congenital (present from birth) heart conditions, including

unrepaired or incompletely repaired cyanotic congenital heart disease, including those with palliative shunts and conduits

4. a completely repaired congenital heart defect with prosthetic material or device, whether placed by surgery or by catheter intervention, during the first six months after the procedure

5. any repaired congenital heart defect with residual defect at the site or adjacent to the site of a prosthetic patch or a prosthetic device

6. a cardiac transplant that develops a problem in a heart valve.

The new recommendations apply to many dental procedures, including teeth cleaning and extractions. Patients with congenital heart disease can have complicated circumstances. They should check with their cardiologist if there is any question at all as to the category that best fits their needs.
